Department of History :

As a branch of human knowledge, history occupies a unique place in the society from the very beginning. It is the study of the past events. Since 1983 history was introduced as a core subject, but later on to fulfill the demands and needs of the students major course was offered. The department has a glorious academic past. At present two faculties are working. They are

• Mr. Raktim Raj  Khanikor, M.A, M.Phil. (HOD)

• Mr. Partha Protim Borah. M.A, M.Phil, SET

The department has a total no of 40 seats. It's well decorated paintings, perfect writings, artistic Excellencies make the departmental wall magazine KARANG a comprehensive one.
